Music Technology Specialist and Digital Media Business Development Professional for hire

Chuck Fishman (center) speaking at A2IM Indie Week 2019 ; a panel on music metadata

Nielsen has recently been making cut backs which has effected my employment directly and I am seeking a new position. Thank you in advance for reading this post.

For the past two years, I was the Director of Music Solutions and Data in the company’s Gracenote division, growing the business for the company’s global music metadata offering in North and Latin America. The role primarily was focused on helping cable companies, streaming media providers, music services, record labels and more to understand the value proposition of using rich music metadata for consumer search and discovery.

I am a “Music Technology Specialist and Digital Media Business Development Professional”. To continue my career development, I am targeting three types of positions at a new employer. I am keeping this pretty general but I can be more specific at an individual request.

  1. Buy Side Digital Media Business Development: Working at a media company (or retail brand) evaluating digital platforms / channels — including tech integration, partnerships, and content strategy — with the goal of optimizing the process of reaching, growing, engaging, monetizing audiences.
  2. Sell Side Digital Media Business Development: here I am thinking of bigger platforms Facebook, YouTube, Spotify, TikTok, Twitter etc and working with media / retail clients to adopt new features, utilize platform, etc.
  3. Strategic Partner, Digital Media Biz Dev: think agencies and consulting firms who work on a contract and campaign basis as the trusted partner to help a brand develop a digital strategy to reach, grow, engage and monetize audiences.

An overview of my career follows and I can provide a resume on direct request.
